Bowling Green, Kentucky

  This year's Sun Belt Conference Tournament was in Bowling Green, Kentucky home of Western Kentucky University.  Arkansas State finished 2nd in the conference just missing out of first by 1/2 game.  They had a family night Tuesday night with home run derby and fireworks.  They also announced the All Conference Teams.  Dustin was selected to the 2nd Team All Conference.  We are very proud of him.

Along with the games we of course had to squeeze in a side trip. We went to the Lost River Cave which was right in Bowling Green. It is a river in a cave where you take a boat ride down part of it. It was pretty cool down there.

 After the cave ride, we walked along several trails - Kannon is thinking hard about something here in the butterfly house

At the Sunday game, they asked Kannon and Tanner to participate in a contest during the game.  They had an ice chest filled with water and ice and they had to race to the chest, dig out a t-shirt and put it on - I think they tied - they both got prizes - The guy filmed it and it was on the Jumbo tron - It was a hot day so I think the icey shirts felt pretty good.



Arkansas State won their first game, lost their second and then won their third.  With that record and their seeding they made it to the Championship game on Sunday.  It was a great game but they came up a little short and lost 2-4.  They had a exceptional season though.  Another fun baseball weekend.
