Family Temple Day

Our Ward had a Family Temple Day today.  Activities were planned for all ages.  Corey did baptisms with the youth.  The Primary had crafts and activities set up at the Stake Center for those not going to the temple.

Making Temple Pictures

Decorating Sugar Cookies for the luncheon that followed the activities

Getting ready to meet with the Temple President - He gave the kids a tour of the temple grounds.

The Temple President asked Kannon to go peek in the front door of the temple and tell the kids what he saw

A few family pictures - minus Dustin (he was out of town)

It was a wonderful Family Day at the temple.

Kannon

Kannon and a few friends performed for the school during Red Ribbon Week.   That is Kannon with the guitar.  The principal is the lady dancing in the back.  Kannon had a ball.

Fall Activities

Cooler weather and colored leaves means FALL.  We have been enjoying the last few weeks with Fall activities.

Valley View had a Fall Festival.  The 2nd Grade opened the Festival by singing the National Anthem and the Alma Mater.

Tanner and Kannon had fun playing at all of the booths. Each class had something set up to participate in.

The ASU Baseball team had a Family Weekend.  The team played a scrimmage and then they had a short progam and then lunch for everyone.

The Cub Scouts had a Chili Dinner - Fall Festival

We were in charge of the Pumpkin Bowling Booth.

We also had fun painting pumpkins and of course making "Ghost" Cookies.

We have pulled out the sweatshirts and the long pants (which are way too short for everyone - the boys are all getting taller) and are enjoying the season of FALL.

Kannon's Special Day

On September 25th, Kannon was baptized.  Two others were baptized as well so it was a full house.  The primary children sang "I Am a Child of God" for the opening song.  Kannon had asked Corey to give the talk on baptism and Corey did a fantastic job.  He just sat down one afternoon and wrote it.  I asked him if he needed the scriptures or any help but he said he didn't.  That kid is amazing.  Kannon wanted to make sure we had refreshments afterwards so Nana and I worked on cookies and snacks for that.  It was a wonderful afternoon and we are glad that Nana and Papa were able to come.  We are very happy that Kannon was excited about being baptized.  He is a sweet boy who tries hard to do what is right.

We love you Kannon!

Cub Scouts

Tanner had a big night at the Cub Scout awards last month.  He received several belt loops, badges and the Arrow of Light Award.  Now that he is eleven he will move on and begin to work on Boy Scout awards.

Whenever a scout reaches a new level they get a badge and the mom gets a pin.  Tanner is "pinning" me.

Before Tanner was awarded the Arrow of Light, they had him do a fishing game that gave him a chance to read about all of his accomplishments.  It was very nice.

Way to go Tanner!  We are proud of you.

Happy Birthday Kannon

Kannon turned 8 on September 5th.  It happened to be Labor Day so he had the whole day off.  We went out for dinner - to Wendy's of course - and then had cake and presents.

Gotta love Wendy's Frosties

The boys went outside and had a Flag Football game after the party.

Make a Wish!

On Tuesday, I ran to Sonic for a Kid's Meal during recess to surprise Kannon with a Birthday lunch.

We had a party at Barry's parents house for all of the August and September birthday people.  Here Tanner and Kannon are showing off their newest weapons.

Kannon continues to be our funny, silly entertainer.  He makes us all laugh and he always has a smile on his face.  He is excited to start Cub Scouts and also to be baptized this month.  We love you Kannon - Happy Birthday.

First Day of School

Wow, another school year is here.  The summer went by quickly like usual but I think everyone is ready to get back to school.  Everyone has new shoes, socks, shorts, shirts, and even underwear.  And of course new crayons, folders, markers, and all of those fun school supplies.  School here we come!!

Corey - ready for High School - 9th grade

Tanner - ready for 5th grade

Kannon - ready for 2nd Grade - he will be right across the hall from my classroom :)

School Year 2011-2012

Tanner's Birthday

On August 15th, Tanner turned 11.  It just happened to be the first day of school too.  Tanner didn't think that was too fun.  We celebrated that weeked by going out to eat.  Tanner picked a new pizza place in town called Larry's Pizza.  They make all kinds of wild pizzas and they bring them around from table to table.  I think Corey's favorite was Mac-n-Cheese pizza.  I loved all of the dessert pizzas :)  When we got home we had ice cream cake and presents.

My boys love those video games.

I think Tanner's favorite present was a fishing pole and tackle box.

I can't believe my little Tanner is 11.  He is almost as tall as me and his feet are bigger then mine but he will always be my sweet Tan-Tan.  Love you Tanner and Happy Birthday.

Cousins Camp

NaNa and PaPa hosted a "Cousins Camp" this summer.  My boys couldn't wait for it to begin.  The Bjarnsons arrived at our house first for a few days before heading up to Mountain Home.

The cousins had fun spending afternoons in the pool and evenings playing CLUE.  Aunt Tracey was nice enough to take all of the kids out for lunch and then to the Nature Center one afternoon.

Then we all headed up to Mountain Home to start the real fun!!

 Working on a camp craft

After making cards, everyone went and visited Uncle Billy at the Nursing home.  Most of the cards were for Uncle Billy but some of the cards got handed out to other residents.

Summer had fun twirling with Barry.

Lots of games were played each night.  This looks like a serious game of Apples to Apples.

Everyone got to make a Cousins Camp T-shirt.

Then it was "Water Day" - slip and sliding,

water balloons,

and ... I am not quite sure - I think they were seeing who could stay under water the longest :)

Anything to keep cool on a hot summer day!

The Jensens arrived in time for Soda Floats.

It wouldn't be Camp without a talent show.  My boys performed a Flash Mob dance they learned on YouTube - thank goodness everyone wins at Cousins Camp.

All the grandkids minus Dustin

Cute girls!

It was a wonderful Cousins Camp.  Everyone enjoyed time together.  Thank you NaNa and PaPa for having all of us!
