High School Graduation

Dustin was suppose to be playing in the State Baseball Tournament on Graduation Day. I was a little disappointed that he would miss his graduation but very glad they had won their ballgames. Usually rain is a bad thing for baseball but this time it turned out great - it rained - games were postponed - Dustin got to go to his Graduation :)

After graduation, we all went to Colton's for dinner.

Very nice graduation and day together, so glad it rained!

Happenings in May

May was a very busy month filled with:

Field Trips

Kannon went to the ASU Farm and then to Craighead Forest Park for a picnic and play time.

Tanner went to Craighead Forest Park for the day where they picnicked, hiked and played.

Field Days

Tanner's grade had blow-ups to play on all morning. They did a picnic and then class games all afternoon. He was disappointed his class didn't win the tug-o-war.

Kannon's field day was fun with wagon rides, face painting, digging for diamonds, and a picnic.

Award Programs

Tanner got an award for all A's and also he received the Citizenship Award for his class.

Corey had his Junior High Honors Banquet where he got an award for having a 3.5 grade average and also he got the Keyboarding Award.

Dustin had his Senior High Honors Banquet where he got an award for being an Honor Graduate.

Sports Awards Night

Dustin received awards in tennis, basketball and baseball. He also received the Top Male Athlete award. We were very proud of him. He has had a great high school athletic career.

Senior Luncheon

The Seniors had a special honors program, graduation practice and then a luncheon at school.

Also during May, all four boys played baseball, Kannon graduated from Kindergarten, and Dustin graduated from High School. Wow, what a month! (More posts coming)

Senior Baseball Night

The last home baseball game in April was Senior Night. After the game, the Senior players were called out on the field along with their families. The different honors and awards were announced that each player had received during their high school career.

The five seniors: Caleb Brown, Tyler Hydrick, Dustin, Tyler Smith, Aaron Moore
They have won two State Championships together and now they are working on number three!
After the ceremony, they had a catered dinner for the team and families. It was really a fun evening.

Best Friends

We enjoyed a visit from our best friends Katie and Emma Calvin in April. We sure loved spending time with them.

Barry took Corey, Tanner, Kannon and Emma to the Nature Center one afternoon. That was always a favorite place for Kannon and Emma to go when the Calvins lived here in Jonesboro. Katie and I went to Memphis for the weekend for "Time Out for Women". There were about 20 other sisters from our ward that attended also. It was a fun weekend of girl talk and good BBQ.

Senior Prom

Dustin and Amy
Senior Prom - April 10, 2010

Six couples rented a BIG limo and went to dinner in Memphis and then back for the dance at the High School. They also went to the "After Prom Party" - pizza and bowling. Everyone had a fun night.
