Happy Halloween

We have a fun night of pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving. We also made our famous "ghost cookies".

Kannon was a Valley View Baseball player.

Everyone got lots of candy and had fun handing out candy too.

Football Homecoming

Kannon was the crown bearer at the Valley View Football Homecoming in October.
This is at the Pep Rally where they announced the Homecoming Court.

That night, waiting for all of the festivites to begin.

All of the court rode out in corvettes. Kannon took good care of the crown.

Kannon looked so handsome. He did a great job and I think he had a lot of fun.

Lost Tooth

Kannon lost his first tooth.
You can see what he was doing when it came out. It was a little loose but I think the football game might have helped it out. Kannon was thrilled.

Fall School Activities

The boys have had a great semester of school. They keep busy with homework, projects, programs, ball games and reading.

Corey had to made a model of a Plant Cell. His was chosen as "Most Accurate". I think the whole family learned a little on this project.

Kannon and his reading group came into my 2nd grade class and performed a Readers Theater. His part was Grandma Wolf. He had come home earlier in the week and asked for an apron and a pot for his play. My class loved having them come in and perform.

Kannon performed a "Beatles" song with three other boys for the entire school as part of our "Red Ribbon Week". Notice the line of girls in front of the stage - their job was to scream and wave their hands. Kannon loved that.

The 1st grade put on a Fall Singing Program. Kannon had a speaking part which he did a great job on. He is the 4th from the right on the top row.

Kannon and Shay after the program.

After reading the book, "Castle in the Attic", Tanner had to make a castle. He got on the internet and got a pattern to follow and he (we) made a castle. It turned out great.

Tanner and Kannon have been doing a lot of reading lately. Tanner has to earn so many points each nine weeks by reading books and taking tests on the computer. He has gotten into Harry Potter and has just been a reading machine. Kannon has just figured out that he can read "chapter books' and he has been going through the "Junie B. Jones" books. I love seeing my boys reading!!

Kannon played 1st grade intermural basketball. He had a great time.

In the huddle before the game

After the season, the team had a pizza party and they each got a trophy.
It is hard to believe that the school year is half way over. It has been busy but fun.

Kannon's Birthday

Kannon is 7

We had a party at NaNa and PaPa's house with a chocolate ice cream cake.

Party number 2 was at home with more family. This time we had a cookie cake.

More presents

Kannon is growing up too fast. He brings a lot of laughter to our home. Happy Birthday Kannon! We love you!

Enjoying the Lake

Over Labor Day Weekend, we had the chance to go up to Mountain Home and visit with NaNa and PaPa. We sure have fun out on the lake.

School Starts

Another school year has begun. Kannon had an open house before school to meet his teacher and to take in all of his supplies.

Corey is in 8th grade, Tanner in 4th and Kannon in 1st

We moved Dustin into his dorm the third weekend in August. His dorms are only 2 years old which means they are still pretty nice. Small rooms but very clean and nice furniture. He has a roommate and then they share a bathroom with the two guys next door.

In October, the baseball team played an intersquad "World Series". It was fun to see Dustin playing as a Red Wolf.

So far, everyone is having a great new school year.

Happy Birthday Tanner

Weekends in Little Rock

We spent a couple of weekends in Little Rock for baseball tournaments.
Taking advantage of the hotel pool.

RiverFront Park along the Arkansas River

The Little Rock Nature Center

I had a reading group reading a story about Central High School where the "Little Rock Nine" went to school. They were the first black students to go to a white High School. The National Guard had to come and escort them to class. I thought it would be fun to get pictures of it to show them.

We always seem to find fun things to do on our baseball trips in between games.
