Fall School Activities

The boys have had a great semester of school. They keep busy with homework, projects, programs, ball games and reading.

Corey had to made a model of a Plant Cell. His was chosen as "Most Accurate". I think the whole family learned a little on this project.

Kannon and his reading group came into my 2nd grade class and performed a Readers Theater. His part was Grandma Wolf. He had come home earlier in the week and asked for an apron and a pot for his play. My class loved having them come in and perform.

Kannon performed a "Beatles" song with three other boys for the entire school as part of our "Red Ribbon Week". Notice the line of girls in front of the stage - their job was to scream and wave their hands. Kannon loved that.

The 1st grade put on a Fall Singing Program. Kannon had a speaking part which he did a great job on. He is the 4th from the right on the top row.

Kannon and Shay after the program.

After reading the book, "Castle in the Attic", Tanner had to make a castle. He got on the internet and got a pattern to follow and he (we) made a castle. It turned out great.

Tanner and Kannon have been doing a lot of reading lately. Tanner has to earn so many points each nine weeks by reading books and taking tests on the computer. He has gotten into Harry Potter and has just been a reading machine. Kannon has just figured out that he can read "chapter books' and he has been going through the "Junie B. Jones" books. I love seeing my boys reading!!

Kannon played 1st grade intermural basketball. He had a great time.

After the season, the team had a pizza party and they each got a trophy.
It is hard to believe that the school year is half way over. It has been busy but fun.
