Happy Easter

We started celebrating Easter on Thursday with an Egg Hunt at Preschool. It was a pretty spring day and the kids enjoyed running all over the yard looking for eggs. And enjoyed even more opening them up and eating the candy.

All dressed up for Easter Sunday.

It was a rainy cold Sunday so we just did egg hunting inside this year. Everyone got lots of candy and also new socks (I thought that was very practical of the Easter Bunny). We had a new family from church over for dinner and enjoyed a nice evening chatting and getting to know each other.

Happy Easter!

2nd Grade Program

Tanner was in a musical program last week entitled "Circle of Life". He was a bluebird. Nana did a great job making his costume. The picture really doesn't show how cute it is because you can't see all the feathers under the arms. Unfortunately, the program fell on a night when he had a baseball game so he was not real thrilled to have to miss the game.

When Valley View does a program of any sort it is always very well done. Tanner did a great job on his part and he looked pretty cute too!

They had put on the program that day for the students and Tanner said it didn't last but about 30 minutes so he wore his complete baseball suit (hence the orange socks) under his costume and as soon as it was over we rushed to his ball game. He was able to play the last half of the game which they won. Corey was also playing that night so we got to see the last inning of his game also. It was a busy night but fun.

It is beginning to look a lot like Baseball Season

Corey, Tanner and Kannon have now official started their baseball seasons. Dustin is already half way through his and they are doing great. I think their record is 19-1. Corey and Tanner played on Monday and when we left the ballpark is was 43 degrees - yes, it was freezing!! Hopefully better weather is on its way.

Corey plays for the Twins.

Tanner plays for the Mets.

Kannon has been counting the days until his first T-ball practice. He plays for the A's.

Good luck boys!

The Prom

Dustin went to the Prom Saturday night, yes, I said the PROM. Can you believe it? The Prom festivities started at 1:00 that afternoon with pictures with their "Prom Group".

Dustin and Amy

After pictures, a limo picked them up and took them to Memphis for dinner.

Then back to Jonesboro for the Prom.

After the Prom they went to the School sponsored "All-Night" Party. They had a restaurant open for them to eat, then bowling, then a movie and finish with breakfast. Dustin and Amy only made it through the bowling before they decided they were too sleepy to watch a movie.

Look at those cute smiles. I think they had a fun evening.

Photo Shoot

Barry's mom kept Kannon yesterday while I went to a Teacher Workshop. They went out to lunch with Shena and Shay and then happened to go get their pictures taken. Kannon wasn't dressed for pictures but they turned out cute. I think he looks so grown up.

What a cute boy!!

Spring Break

We had a fun Spring Break last week. We loved sleeping in and staying up late. The boys were busy with baseball practices and games.

But we also found time to:

--Go Play miniature golf

--Go to the ASU Museum - they have a new Mayan Exhibit which is great!

--Go to the Zoo - of course!

In the prairie dog bubbles

--Go to the Memphis Children's Museum - the boys loved it!

Shopping in the Museum Grocery Store

Trying on Memphis Sport's Teams uniforms

Corey trying to land an airplane in the FedEx exhibit

Kannon loved this Museum because they had dress-up clothes for every area and of course there was some DANCING.

I know this video is hard to see but Kannon insisted on "making a movie" of him in the Disco Room.

Spring Break is now over and it is back to school. The boys are already counting down to summer - 9 weeks to go! We sure loved having the week off to play and hang out together.
