Busy Week

The boys have had a busy but fun week.  Corey left early Monday morning for a 50 mile-5 day canoe trip with the scouts.  Corey had never been canoeing before but he ended up having a good trip.  The first day Corey's canoe tipped over but other then that his partner said he did a great job manning the front of the canoe.  He was glad to get home though and take a good long hot shower with lots of good smelling body wash :)

Kannon went to Cub Scout Day Camp Monday thru Friday from 8:30 - 4:00 each day.  I went as Den Mom on Monday and Friday.  They did archery, BB shooting, slingshots, woodworking, fishing, leather work, sports, and had speakers come in and talk about different things.  He earned many belt loops and badges for all of the activities.

Yes, that is me with a Albino Reticulated Python wrapped around my neck - Corey was very impressed - I was a little scared during the whole thing - this was during one of the wildlife speaker presentations - Creepy!!

Sunday thru Wednesday,  Kannon and Tanner went to Vacation Bible School with Barry's mom each evening.  They did crafts and learned songs and seemed to enjoy themselves.

Tanner has been working in his garden a lot.  He is beginning to harvest some of his crops.  He has gotten cucumbers, green beans, and peppers so far.  We put up green beans and corn (from Barry's dad's garden) for Family Night.  Also, Tanner's All-Star Baseball team played in a weekend tournament and won.  Their first tournament win!  Tanner did a great job at 3rd and 1st base.

I can't believe you put that snake around your neck considering what happened a few years ago with the teacher vs. big yellow snake incident!
