Corey's Birthday

Corey is now a TEENAGER! Wow, thirteen. We celebrated on Saturday with dinner out (his choice) and then ice cream and presents at home. He has been debating for the last few months on where to go for his birthday dinner. He narrowed it down to two places and finally decided on "Front Page Cafe". They throw rolls, which he thought would be cool. They threw a lot of rolls to our table and Corey enjoyed them and his fried catfish.

We had brownie sundaes at home and then on to the presents.

Of course, a new video game. Baseball, this time.

Corey has been asking for a pet (a snake is the first choice) so we surprised him with two hermit crabs. He was very excited and quickly named them Johnny (after Johnny Bench) and Rollie (after Rollie Fingers) - both baseball players. He will be a very good pet owner.

On Sunday evening we had Barry's family come over for cake and more presents.

Corey's request for his cake was chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream for icing. Never had that before but it turned out pretty good.

It has been 13 wonderful years having Corey in our family. He has such a kind, sweet soul. We love you Corey. Happy Birthday!!
