I love starting a new year. I also love looking back over the past year. For Family Home Evening last night, we talked about 2008 and some of the fun things we got to do and some of the family and friends we were able to visit. Then we played "2008 Bingo" I don't think Kannon ever had a chance to Bingo because he kept eating his popcorn markers :)
Then everyone shared one of their favorite things about the year 2008:
Barry: Watching Dustin play baseball in the American Legion World Series in Shelby, NC
Corey: Spending a couple of days with Arie (He is my cousin, Carol's son who came to visit for the first time from Switzerland - they played video games, went out on the boat, shot off fireworks, and spent a day together at White Water
Tanner: Playing another season of Machine Pitch Baseball
Kannon: Spending a day at White Water and going down almost every slide
Dustin: Winning the High School State Baseball Championship and going to the American Legion World Series
These are the Valley View guys who played together for both State Championships - Dustin is on the far left
Me: Having the chance to visit with family and friends that don't live here in Arkansas
I am grateful that we all were healthy and safe and were able to spend so much time together as a family. Best Wishes for a GREAT 2009!

Great review of the year. You guys really had a spectacular year. Never a dull moment that's for sure. Love seeing all the pictures, taking part in some of the fun and just being with you. Love, MOM
