Happy Birthday Nana!

Nana came and spent a few days with us last week. On Monday, we spent most of the day at the District Tennis Tournament. It was a pretty day to be outside. Dustin and his partner got 2nd in the tournament which qualified them to go to the State Tournament this week. Tennis is such a weird sport - no scoreboard, no umpires or officials (the players call the ball in or out), no cheering from the crowd - half the time you don't know who is winning. We enjoyed it anyway and Dustin did great.

Tuesday, Nana spent the whole day canning. She was suppose to come help me can but you know how great moms are. She did pinto beans and apple pie filling. I did help a little here and there and learned a lot about canning. We plan to do more over Thanksgiving.

Tuesday night we all went to watch Tanner play flag football and then came home and had a birthday party for Nana. We had hot fudge brownie sundaes. YUM!

Wednesday, Nana and I went to the temple and then even squeezed in a little shopping at the Mall. We both bought a few things and then ended our shopping with an Auntie Anne's Pretzel. It sure was fun having Nana visit. The boys kept asking her if she could stay longer but she said she had to get home and take care of Papa. I guess Papa needs to come with her next time. Happy Birthday Nana! We love you!
