Each of us got a listening device which guided us through the exhibits. Each area was numbered and you just entered that number into the Ipod thing and it gave a little bit of information. Kannon had fun looking for the numbers and telling us where to go next. The museum was all about the Mississippi River. There was a Riverboat replica that we walked through that was really cool.

After the museum we walked down the "Mississippi River". They have a model of the river starting in Minnesota all the way to Louisiana. The boys had a ball splashing in the river. Finally, we made it to the Gulf of Mexico where we all went for a paddle boat ride. We stayed until closing time and then caught the last tram back across.

We then headed downtown to the ballpark for the Redbirds game. We met Barry, Dustin and Barry's mom and dad at the game. After the game, they had a big fireworks show which the boys were looking forward to. We stopped for ice cream on the way home and then finally got to bed about 12:30 a.m. It was such a fun day.
Everyone having dinner at the game - Corey couldn't wait to go to the Concession stand.
Best Buddies!
The Jonas Brothers -oops I mean the Jones Brothers :)
On the 4th, we all slept in and then went over for a cookout at Barry's brother's house. Dustin also had a ballgame. That night we had our own little fireworks show - along with 1 million mosquitoes. I sure am very grateful for this country. We love the USA!

Dana, you do so many fun things with your boys. I think of your summers, out on the ridge just swatting mosquitos and cutting grass. Sorry I didn't do more. But we did take vacations! Love, MOM
