Happy 4th of July

We spent the 4th in Memphis. We went to the zoo for the afternoon and then to the Redbirds game that night. We were all proud of Corey at the zoo because he went in the "Animals of the Night" house for the first time. In the past, he always said that it was too scary.

Once we were inside, Corey said, "This isn't so bad." I think he really liked it, bats and all.

We were happy that Grandmama and Granddaddy joined us at the ballgame. We had front row seats out in right field. Corey couldn't wait to go to the concession stand for dinner. Barry and Dustin had their favorite thing - BBQ Nachos!

After the ballgame, there was a big firework show. It was very loud but pretty spectacular! We had a really fun day. We sure feel very lucky to live in America!
