Spring Break

Yeah, Spring Break!! We were all disappointed that we didn't get to go to the Beach like we usually do but we had a fun week of family time. We cleaned one thing and did one fun thing each day. Monday was yard work day. We weeded the flower beds, added new mulch, picked up sticks, and moved bricks. It was a pretty day so it was fun being outside.

Since it was Spring Break Tanner thought he should get to keep his pajamas on all day. He did put his boots on though. When we finished working, Tanner said, "That wasn't as fun as I thought it was going to be." Oh well, the yard looked great!

We went to Chuck-e-Cheese to play video games later that night. The boys had a great evening. We also went out for ice cream on the way home which is always fun.

Corey spent almost all of his tokens on this snowmoblie game.

Kannon loved the "Roller Coaster Simulator". He and Faith (a Preschool Friend) rode it several times. When they went down a hill they both would hold their hands up and scream, it was cute.

Tuesday, we cleaned out the boys room. We got out spring/summer clothes and put away outgrown clothes. The boys were excited to have lots of new clothes for their closets. Later that day, we went to the ASU Museum where they had a special traveling exhibit about space.

Corey was testing his spaceship to see if it would fly in the wind current.

Here, Tanner is digging for "fossils". The boys think that it is so cool that I used to work at the Museum. We had a nice afternoon.

Wednesday, we cleaned out our Storage Room downstairs which was a complete disaster. The boys had fun playing with all of the toys that we had stored in there. Now it is all cleaned out and ready for more stuff to get stored in there. The back of my van is full of things for Abilities Unlimited! That afternoon, we went to the Nature Center. The boys love running around looking at the snakes, turtles, aligators, and other exhibits. We also walked around the boardwalk path. We didn't get to stay too long because Dustin had a baseball game at 4:00.

Thursday was our Zoo Day. Dustin didn't get to go because he had another ballgame. The weather was great and the boys were very excited. We hadn't been to the zoo in over a year. They had a new area opened up since the last time we were there. It is called the Northwest Passage and it had Polar Bears,Black Bears, sea lions, and bald eagles. The Panda Bear exhibit is always fun too. We were disappointed though because the Elephants were not out.

I love the Panda Bears!

Tanner was excited that he got to be in charge of the map. That is usually always Dustin's job.

A trip to the Zoo would not be complete without "sitting in the egg".

While we were looking at the Pandas, Kannon disappeared and I found him sitting by this statue. He had his arm around the statue but by the time I got my camera he had moved it.

What a great day at the Zoo! We left just in time to get back to Westside for another ballgame.

Friday is my usual cleaning day so I told Barry that he could help or he could take the boys somewhere for the morning. They went and hit baseballs at the batting cage. I cleaned, did my visiting teaching and then we all went to another baseball game. On Sunday, Corey said, "Oh, Spring Break is over, where did it go?" It did seem to fly by but it was a fun week. We still are hoping to make a trip to the beach this year though!
