In February, we took a weekend trip to Auburn, Alabama. This was the opening weekend for the Red Wolves Baseball team. We were excited to go and support Dustin.
The ballgame didn't start until 4:00 on Saturday so we had the day to explore Auburn. We found a Nature Center/Ecology park. We went for a hike and then played at a "Nature's Playground" park.
Kannon and Tanner in a bird's nest.
We also had time to walk around the campus of Auburn University. Two days before we got there, they had announced that their famous Oak trees on the corner of their campus had been poisoned. After every football victory the students gather at these Oaks and wrap them with toilet paper to celebrate. I guess this has been a tradition for years and years. An Alabama fan had poisoned them and they had just found out that they probably were going to die. TV cameras were everywhere. Even CNN had their big TV truck there. It was pretty interesting. Auburn fans are very attached to those trees.
