Field Trips

All of the boys had field trips this week.
Monday, Kannon went to the Bakery with the Nursery School.

The kids got to decorate a cookie and then EAT it. Notice the little girl beside Kannon patiently waiting until the Baker tells her she can eat the cookie.

Thursday, Kannon went to the Nature Center with the Preschool Class.

The favorite thing at the Nature Center for all of the kids was the "shooting game". Kannon had a great time but was terrified of the stuffed Owl they have in one of the exhibits. He kept saying, "I am afraid of the Who".

Tanner went to the Fire Station, the Bakery, and the Petting Farm at ASU on Friday. Kannon and I met him at ASU for a picnic lunch. Tanner liked the Farm best! He saw horses, sheep, pigs, rabbits, chicks and a raccoon. He got to hold a baby chick. They also went on a hayride.

This is a friend of Tanner's that lives in the neighborhood across the street from us and also goes to church with us. He is not in Tanner's class but they play together at recess. All of the Kindergartens had shirts on that said, "Valley View is Groovy". They looked cute dressed all alike.

Also on Friday, Corey got to go to "Planet Play" which is a place filled with those big inflatable slides and bouncing things. All of the fourth graders that had an A in conduct got to go on the field trip. He said that it was really cool and that it would be a good place for our family to go next week. Maybe for Family Home Evening.

Dustin had his field trip at home on Friday because school was closed. Westside had a rash of "Staph Infection" going around so they cancelled school. They are spending the weekend sterilizing the school. One student is in serious condition down in the Children's Hospital. I think 10 students and one teacher came down with the infection. Pretty scary!

What a fun week for everyone!
